As our program grows, our number of Special Needs greyhounds grows as well. We have a few special greyhounds that are currently waiting for homes, so if you are thinking about adopting another pet, perhaps you could give some thought to giving one of these wonderful greyhounds a home.
Older Greyhounds
We often have greyhounds returned to us when their adopted family's personal situation changes. People move, get divorced or change jobs and don't feel they can properly take care of their pets, so they ask us to find someone who will love their greyhound the way they do.
Stu is a 10 year old red male who has just retired after being a stud dog. He is sweet and loving and gets along with cats or small dogs. He may have a slight touch of Pannus, a very treatable immune disorder that effects the eyes.
Andy is an 8 year old blue brindle male. His family moved away and couldn't take him. He is a very loving, outgoing greyhound that is great with kids, cats, birds and other dogs.A shy greyhound
Jake is a 4 year old brindle male who is very attractive, loving and extremely good with cats & other pets. He is a little too nervoucs to be with kids and would do best in a quiet home with other gtereyhounds.
Greyhound with special health concerns:
Polly is a 3 year old red female with Pemphigus. Pemphigus causes the toenails to get infected. She will need to be on two different medications for another year and a half. The medicine is very inexpensive (about $1 per month). She is a very nice little girl who will get along great with other dogs, however she isn't fond of cats or small pets.
If you are interested in adopting one of these special greyhounds, or would like more information, give us a call at (602) 971-6935. We'll be glad to tell you more about them!
