Change your records please
It has been almost a year since Cheryl Lawless stepped down as director of AAGI and moved to North Carolina to join her family. At that time AAGI started using a Post Office box for mailing instead of Cheryls residence. We still get mail sent to the old 2325 E. Marmora address, which gets forwarded to our PO Box. However, the forwarding stops after a year and we will no longer receive your mail. PLEASE, change AAGIs address in your records to PO Box 63033, Phoenix, AZ 85082.
When greyhounds go missing
Please remember that the microchip implanted in your greyhound will always trace to AAGI. If your dog is found by someone or picked up by one of the shelters, the microchip tracking will prompt a call to our offices, then we call you. PLEASE, if you change phone numbers, either at home or at work, give us a call (602-971-6935) so we can update our records. Nothing is sadder than having your pet and not being able to locate you!!
If your greyhound should get lost, call the AAGI line and let us know. When someone finds a greyhound they usually call us and we can help reunited you with your pet.
Remember the monsoon is coming soon and that seems to be the season for escaping greyhounds. The winds can often blow gates open and the greyhound slips out. Keeping your gates locked can help prevent this tragedy.
Our adoption fee
For the first time in many years AAGI has decided to raise the adoption fee. Effective June 1, 2002 we will be changing from $150 to $175, however we will be including the collar, leash and ID tag in the new fee ($20 adopters now pay). |
